Shalom, everyone! The following is part one of a lecture given in 2009 by Ehav Ever about the various dialects and writing scripts of the Israeli national language, Hebrew, among the various ethnic groups of Bnei Yisrael. Hebrew is an Afro-Asiatic language, but has various dialects developed from fusions with the local languages of the territories in which the Bnei Yisrael lived in the Diaspora.
Ehav Ever is an Israeli of Sephardic Jewish-Spanish, African American, Senegalese, and French ancestry.
